About Motodle
Motodle is a daily motorbike-guessing game. Guess the make, model and year of a real motorbike in five tries, from a photo that reveals a little more with every guess. A new one is posted every day.
Privacy
Motodle has no accounts, no cookies, no third-party trackers and no third-party scripts. Your guesses, statistics and settings are stored only in your own browser. One thing does leave your device: the CDN that serves this site keeps an access log of the requests it receives — the page requested, its query string, the referring site, the browser's user-agent and the country — for 90 days. Nothing in it is tied to you: visitor IP addresses are excluded from the log, and no identifier of any kind is sent or stored.
Photos and licensing
Three different things are licensed here, and they are not the same thing. The source code is MIT — a grant Chris Wallace makes over the code he wrote. The site itself — its wording, layout, puzzle selection and the crops as a curated set — is his original work, © 2026 Chris Wallace; that notice asserts authorship of the parts he authored, not ownership of everything on the page. The photographs are third-party works from Wikimedia Commons, each under its own Creative Commons or public-domain terms — they are covered by neither the MIT grant nor the site's copyright line, and their licences (including any share-alike obligation) travel with them regardless. Full per-photo credit and licence appears on each round's result screen.
